Personal Info
Stanehous seems to have been generally the residence of the heirs-apparent of the house of Airth. John was a knight, and was during his father's lifetime "sclaughtered" by the Menteiths of Karse, his wife's brothers. In this feud Sir John the Brois fell 1483 by the hand of his brother-in-law, William Menteith of Karse.10
