Marriage contract dated at Edinburgh 10 January 1702. Sir Humphrey, Anna's father, had provided in the contract that they and the children of their marriage should succeed to the barony of Luss. Sir Humphrey also, two years later, resigned his baronetcy into the hands of the Crown and had a new patent, dated 29 April 1704, with remainder to himself and his sons to be born, whom failing, to James Grant of Pluscardine and the heirsmale of his marriage with Anne Colquhoun, only daughter of Sir Humphrey, whom failing, to the other heirs therein specified.
