In conjunction with John Craufurd, his father, he gave contentation to the Laird of Rowallan, in 1602, for the wardholding of the fourteen merk laud of Ardach, alias Craufurdland, which originally held blanch of Rowallan as superior, (but of late had been taken to hold ward), at the reconciliation betwixt the families in 1511.13
